Adoption of proposed law no. 259 amending certain provisions of law no. 729 of March 16, 1963 relating to employment contracts, as amended, and instituting the conventional termination of employment contracts.

This proposal was adopted on November 28, 2023.
The Monegasque courts recognized the possibility of amicable termination of employment, albeit within a limited legal framework.
Proposition de loi n°259 inserts new articles 14-1 to 14-7 of Law n°729, introducing conventional termination of an open-ended employment contract approved by a labor inspector.
A presumption of resignation in the event of voluntary abandonment of post is also introduced in the new article 5-2 of Law n°729.
